Leading Together

We’re living according to the world’s imagination of power, gender and leadership. The arguments about women’s roles in the church have been informed by the world’s ideas and tone more than we know. The conversation doesn’t look like Jesus. It limits our imagination and undermines our witness.

We need healing from the old story.
We need a better story.
We need Jesus’ story of peace between us.

Engaging in new ways will teach us the reconciling power of Jesus. In her writing and speaking, Mandy shapes an imaginative, transparent space to offer pastoral guidance through the spiritual and relational work of personal and institutional healing. As we submit to the work of reconciliation with one another, we experience the work of reconciliation Jesus has done for us. Not only will we find peace between brothers and sisters, our faith and mission will become more meaningful.

As the first female lead pastor in a movement of 6000 congregations, Mandy has had to navigate these dynamics in deeply personal ways and wants to offer the hope and healing that she’s found in the journey, even as she continues to grow and learn in it. She’s shared her insight as Director of Missio Alliance’s SheLeads Summit and in various workshops at national conferences.

“I’ve been a Christian a long time. But the Gospel was just a flat formula until I really needed Good News in the deep pain and reconciliation with my brothers in Christ. I’ve never needed Jesus so much or found such meaning in his promises. I’d love to share that Good News with you, personally or in a workshop with men or women or both.”
